Whatever way you choose we will be happy to welcome you at the conference. We strongly recommend to rely on Vienna' s public transport system for getting around in Vienna. Streets are often crowded, parking space is scarce and most parking-places are short-term and require a fee.
You will arrive at Vienna International Airport (VIE) situated a little outside of town. There are numerous ways to get to the city. Please refer to the website of the aiport for detailled information how to get from the airport to the city.
For all those travelling by train we recommend using Vienna's excellent public transport system to get to the venue or the hotel. You can use the website of the Vienna transport authority to plan your trip in advance. To plan your ride with Vienna's public transport klick here (note: type in
*Austria-Center Vienna* for the venue)
Rather than getting to Vienna with a bike you can go around in Vienna by bike fairly easily. Yes, we know you won't have your bike with you, but in Vienna a high-tech bicycle rental system with 54 stations for rental and return is existing. You can use your VISA, MasterCard or JCB Creditcard to register. Cycle from sight to sight, have a coffe-break in one of the numerous shadowy 'Schanigardens' of Vienna's reknown cafés. The first hour of every ride is free of charge. For more details on the system, prizes and location of the city-bike stations klick here to visit the Citybike Wien Homepage.
