Although Sports Engineering is a relatively young scientific field its influence is growing rapidly. In the past 10 years not only sports equipment companies but also athletes, trainers, physiotherapists and doctors have realized its potential.

As a consequence the number of sports engineers is rising. To satisfy economy's needs sports engineering as an educational program is being offered on more and more universities all around the globe.
